It Snowed...
It snowed yesterday, ok it was only for about 20 mins. But who cares it snowed. And in my neck of the woods that means comedy. I just love watching everyone freak because a few flakes hit the ground.For me it also meant a day off. I did work from home, well if checking e-mails and chatting with my supervisor on ICQ is considered working. Mostly I goofed off with my 10 year old. He was so happy to be out of school. His eyes lit up when he found out he didn't have to go and I was going to stay home. He went outside and played with the puppy and he was having such a good time I had to join him.
We have the best kind of snow. It only lasts for a day and then it all melts. What could be better than an unexpected day off, snow that melts before it turns to slush, and a snowball fight with my 10 year old?

We got our first real; snow of the year yesterday. it's nice. Makes winter pretty for a change.
That sounds like the perfect day to me. We've been getting the white stuff all month and it just gets colder and colder, but I love it.
Why is it that milk and bread disappear before it snows? Strange people.
Hey Cat, you want my snow? I'm sick of it this year! and it has been too fucking cold in my neck of the woods, it's 6 outside right now (1130pm). I usually like winter, but not this year, don't know why...
If we had time off for everyday it snowed, we would never be working. The last time things kind of shut down here was when we got something like a foot and a half snow!
Have I mentioned how much I hate winter?
FL-yes it is nice or at least it is the way we get snow. I am pretty sure if I were further north snow wouldn't hold the same appeal.
Art-it really was a good time. I am not always so lucky usually I have to work and find childcare for my son. So staying home with him was especially nice.
I have never been able to figure out the bread and milk shortage. It's entertaining to watch though.
Fusion-Umm thanks but no thanks I'll stick with 50 degrees and the snow has melted already :)
SR-I don't think we could handle snow like that. We can barely function with a couple of inches. In all fairness though we just don't get enough of it to buy the equipment needed. But I like how its all white and pretty and then it melts the next day, what can be better?
We have cold but little snow. I can't complain.
As we say, "it keeps the riff-raff out."

We're still sitting around with snow we've had for a couple weeks. As an added bonus, today's high temp was a steamy 2 with -20 windchill. Ah...I can feel the jealousy...let's hope it's enough to keep me warm!
